I love this open letter from Kevin Du Jan at HillBuzz to Governor Mitt Romney. In it he pours out his heartfelt appreciation for how Governor Romney has conducted himself and his campaign against Barack Obama and his corrupt Chicago Machine. Here’s a portion:
I’m writing this letter to you the morning after the last of the presidential debates to apologize to you personally for doing absolutely everything I could think of for four years to stop you from becoming the 2012 Republican nominee. I really didn’t know a thing about you, except that you had a lot of kids, were Governor of Massachusetts, and looked like an old movie star…and that you came in second last time to John McCain and somehow I got it into my head that this should have disqualified you from running again this year (or that it meant you’d repeat McCain’s anemic campaign and not even try to give Barack Obama a run for his money). Boy, was I stupid..because after these debates and the campaign you’ve run I have come to realize you’re one of the best political strategists I’ve ever studied…and you are a man who has clearly answered the call of duty when our country needed you the most. I am sorry for not giving you a fair chance until you became the nominee, but I’m beyond grateful I have the opportunity today to do anything I can to help your campaign in this home stretch.
And there’s much more at the link. Please read all of it. It’s long, but so well worth your time. What you have managed to do in this general election will be studied and written about for years because even many Republicans have no clue how smart you’ve played things. A lot of people are going to have pleasantly bewildered faces on November 6th as the electoral college results pour in and it becomes clear why you did everything you did for the last several months; it’s going to be like the end of one of those old M. Night Shyamalan films where the pieces all fit together and the audience finally gets the big “twist”. I actually plan on watching MSNBC for the results because I want to see Chris Matthews, Chuck Todd, Rachel Maddow and the other loathsome clowns on that Democrat propaganda network have real-time meltdowns and psychotic breaks as state after state is declared another addition to your victory column.

Another one of the Obama campaign’s attacks on Mitt Romney and Bain Capital is starting look pretty silly. New information turns the Bain “outsourcing” narrative completely on its head. As it turns out, instead of sending money overseas, Bain Capital actually received…
This television host reiterates what I posted earlier about the Obamas’ goal of destroying the private sector middle class. The goal of today’s Progressive is no different from the goal of the 20th century European Communist: destroy the middle class, aka the bourgeoisie.
This article is necessary reading to understand Barack and Michelle Obama’s and their statist cohorts’ ultimate goal.
Well, shoot! What’s Gore going to do for money now?
From the Daily Mail:
Rings in fossilised pine trees have proven that the world was much warmer than previously thought – and the earth has been slowly COOLING for 2,000 years.

Congress’s non-partisan investigative arm said Wednesday President Obama is stretching the law to give bonuses to mediocre private Medicare plans — an $8 billion program the auditors had already urged the administration to cancel.
What? The Obama administration is operating outside the law? No. That simply can’t be! Not the most ethical and transparent administration in human history!
Cue Captain Renault:
Every single Republican as well as five Democrats voted for the repeal. Those Democrats who voted to keep ObamaCare and the massive tax hikes that come with it securely in place are now on the record.
I know that no one reading this is surprised in the least. The question in my mind is how best to punish those — the president especially — for being such incredible liars.
Indeed.
This does not surprise me one bit. I supported Rick Perry during the primary for a reason. This one.
Eric Holder is speaking at the NAACP convention in Texas, where media are required to show their government issued IDs in order to gain access to the event. How odd, when Eric Holder and his Justice Department are suing Texas over its voter ID law, claiming the act of requiring a government issued ID to vote is tantamount to discrimination. The Democrats and the progressives insist that Eric Holder is as honest as the day is long. So why would he do something so…contradictory?
It is obvious that Eric Holder (as well as most Democrats) thinks that when Democrats take an action, it means that action is by default right and good; however, when Republicans take that same action, it is by default wrong and bad.
In other words, the Attorney General of the United States thinks we are a nation of men, not of laws. So, why he continues to call himself the Attorney General is beyond me. It seems a more apt title would be Thug General, head of the Department of Thugs.
When Obama said he wanted to fundamentally transform America, I and other conservatives understood exactly what he meant, and it wasn’t good. I’m glad so many other Americans are finally understanding that as well.
Clearly they don’t approve of people who don’t look like them or live like them. What a bunch of racists.
Call your senators and congressmen and demand that they support the Second Amendment by publicly denouncing Obama’s efforts to subjugate America to UN rules. Obama will insist this UN arms treaty won’t interfere with our Second Amendment rights, but he has proven himself to be a liar. Don’t believe him. Call your representatives.
Trumpka says, “Let’s call this right-wing ‘freedom’ catch phrase what it really is: a grossly political strategy to dupe the public, which holds the word ‘freedom’ as something sacred.”
It is something sacred! But not to Trumpka, clearly. To him freedom is just a catch phrase that has no meaning or significance, except that it gets in the way of his plans.
This is absolutely true.
It is no one’s duty to take care of you when you choose not to take care of yourself. You have no right to one minute of anyone else’s life. And, vice versa, it is not your duty to take care of someone you do not believe deserves it and no one has the right to your life….
The Democrats refuse to accept the argument that the ObamaCare mandate is a tax. They continue to call it a penalty. It may not matter which word is used to describe the mandate because both may still be unconstitutional.
Nancy Pelosi said the mandate is “a penalty that comes under the Tax Code” for free riders. Penalties are punishment, are they not? Punishment comes after someone has been convicted of a crime. So where’s the due process here? Since when does the legislature get the declare a large group of Americans guilty of being free riders and then slap them with a tax or a penalty?
This mandate is unconstitutional no matter which term is used because it’s a bill of attainder.
This is what typically happens in communist and socialist nations. Those who work in the public sector live in the lap of luxury while those who support them live in near poverty.
Every time it comes to this Marxist White House I keep thinking of that Hall & Oates song, “Out of Touch.” That should be the Obama and Democrat theme song.
The White House released its annual report to Congress on staff salaries. At 4:39 p.m. on Friday.
End of the day Friday, heading in to…

Read Ann Althouse’s post and tell me how today’s SCOTUS ruling on ObamaCare helps Obama in November.
When you can continue on with your work without giving a wit what your critics think of you or your work, you’ve reached true happiness and contentment.
And so the cover-up begins.
Obama claims executive privilege over fast and furious, that means only one thing. He knew and was a part of it. Otherwise he wouldn’t have invoked executive privilege.
He is dirty, Holder is dirty, and all these stall tactics are solely for political reasons. Namely,…
An outstanding post from Bookworm, in which she addresses an issue that been discussed vaguely around the Internet but has yet to be addressed outright:
Albert Einstein allegedly defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Austin O’Malley looked at the process of insanity: “A sane man often reasons from sound premises; an insane man commonly reasons as well, but the premises are unsound.” And Guy de Maupassant examined that peculiar phenomenon we now call monomania:
I have seen mad people, and I have known some who were quite intelligent, lucid, even clear-sighted in every concern of life, except on one point. They could speak clearly, readily, profoundly on everything; till their thoughts were caught in the breakers of their delusions and went to pieces there, were dispersed and swamped in that furious and terrible sea of fogs and squalls which is called MADNESS.
The common thread in these quotations is the fact that the insane person is disconnected from reality. He doesn’t understand cause and effect, his factual premises are ludicrous, and his inability to deal with reality may be centered a specific subject, so that he appears lucid as to other things.
With Obama’s most recent speech about the economy, the one in which he cited approvingly to an immediately discredited study claiming that he’s been one of the most frugal presidents in history, a new meme sprang up in the blogosphere — “Obama the Insane.”

Forget Orwellian. Obama’s data mining efforts so out weigh Orwell’s fictionalized dystopian Big Brother they require their own term. From Politico:
On the sixth floor of a sleek office building here, more than 150 techies are quietly peeling back the layers of your life. They know what you read and where you shop, what kind of work you do and who you count as friends. They also know who your mother voted for in the last election.
The depth and breadth of the Obama campaign’s 2012 digital operation — from data mining to online organizing — reaches so far beyond anything politics has ever seen, experts maintain, that it could impact the outcome of a close presidential election. It makes the president’s much-heralded 2008 social media juggernaut — which raised half billion dollars and revolutionized politics — look like cavemen with stone tablets.
Launched two weeks ago, Obama’s newest innovation is the much anticipated “Dashboard” , a sophisticated and highly interactive platform that gives supporters a blueprint for organizing, and communicating with each other and the campaign.
In addition, by harnessing the growing power of Facebook and other online sources, the campaign is building what some see as an unprecedented data base to develop highly specific profiles of potential voters. This allows the campaign to tailor messages directly to them — depending on factors such as socio-economic level, age and interests.
The data also allows the campaign to micro-target a range of dollar solicitations online depending on the recipient. In 2008, the campaign was the first to maximize online giving — raising hundreds of millions of dollars from small donors. This time, they are constantly experimenting and testing to expand the donor base.
Barack Obama insists on inserting himself into our lives and he will not take no for an answer. He is becoming unhinged if you ask me.
An Obama loss is in no way set in stone. We’re talking politics here. November is a lifetime away, and anything can happen that can turn this election on its head.
Likely? It’s pretty much set in stone. Obama is going to lose in November. I want everyone who reads this post to bookmark it. The day after the election, read it again, and see who called the election back on June 9th.
I’ll even go one further. It’s not going to be as close as some…
I wonder why he won’t acknowledge the existence of adult stem cell research. This area of stem cells holds great promise, unlike embryonic stem cell research, which has accomplished nothing.
*******
This is particularly interesting because Fox made a point of endorsing Claire McCaskill for her support of embryonic stem cell research.
It’s also interesting because while the foundation mentions “other areas of research,” the truth is that we know the most effective stem cell treatments of any kind have come from adult stem cells, not embryonic cells.
